I finally had a minute today to take a look at this book, and here is what I found:
The colorful paper collage illustrations and simple, rhyming text give this book appeal with the preschool crowd. Its information is presented in a fun way, as well as in ways young children can relate to (wagons, bicycles, pinwheels, merry-go-rounds, etc.), but the information is so basic that it is difficult to compare this book with others on our list.
I don't know that What Do Wheels Do All Day? is Sibert-quality, but I'd love to hear what you think.

I did borrow it from the library awhile back. I agree that doesn't share enough information to be a serious contender.
